During his visit in Finland The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj, gave an interview for the “Helingin Sanomat” Newspaper. During the interview minister Hoxhaj stated that Serbia has not yet changed its political agenda towards other Balkan states.

“It is the last moment for Serbia to define the national interest regarding economical development and political integration and not define national interest on territorial principles”, stated Hoxhaj.

According to minister Hoxhaj, until now Serbia has never been ready to have cooperation with Kosovo. “There can be no tranquillity neither in Balkans nor in Kosovo if Serbia continues to uphold illegal, paramilitary structures in northern Kosovo:, stated the minister.

Hoxhaj also spoke of the successful process of integration and minorities in the largest part of the territory of the Republic of Kosovo as well as for the fact that the current Ahtisaari Package is implemented in over 95% of it.

“The north is the only part in Europe where there have been no free and democratic elections conducted; where there was no census; where there has been no local governance.... Ahtisaari Package is the only solution for the north as it gives more rights to Serbs than to any other minority in Europe”, stated the Foreign Minister Enver Hoxhaj during the interview for the Finnish Agency, “Helingin Sanomat”.
