Kiribati recognizes the Republic of Kosovo

Prishtina, 25 October 2010 – The Republic of Kiribati has recognized Kosovo’s independence. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kiribati informed the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo in a verbal note of the decision to recognize the Republic of Kosovo’s independence on 21st October 2010.

At the same time, the Republic of Kiribati expressed its willingness to establish bilateral diplomatic relations in order to develop friendship and cooperation between the two countries in political, trading and economic issues.
