The Government of Bhutan is expected to take a decision on recognition

Amongst the series of meetings held on the third day of his stay in New York, Minister Hyseni met with the representative of Bhutan to the United Nations, Ambassador Lhatu Wangchuk.

New York, 28 May 2009

During the meeting, Minister Hyseni spoke about the most recent developments in Kosovo and he repeated the request for the recognition of the Republic of Kosovo.

In the meeting, Ambassador Wangchuk said that the mission of Bhutan to the UN had passed on the request for recognition sent by Minister Hyseni on 3rd February this year to its Government. He also informed the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo that they are expecting a decision from the Government of Bhutan.
