Minister Hyseni has also briefed on the Kosovo progress made in the field of the economy, as well on the process of building sovereign institutions of the Republic of Kosovo.

“Kosovo aims to become a part of international financial and economic organizations in order to develop it and at the same time to become a contributing partner of international community. This is the reason why Kosovo needs more recognition. So, the recognition from Guatemala, would help Kosovo in these realms,” Minister Hyseni stated.

The ambassador of Guatemala was interested, in particular, for Kosovo’s preparations to present its case to the International Court of Justice in Hague. Minister Hyseni has informed the Ambassador on the course of this process, stressing that Kosovo is completely ready to present the argument of the legality of independence declaration. We have declared the independence after two years of unsuccessful talks, because Serbia refused all possibilities for any solution. We have declared independence in a fully coordination with our international friends,” Minister stressed.

In regard with the recognition, ambassador Rosenfal has stated that the government of his country is studying carefully developments in Kosovo and is working with other Latin-American countries to take a decision. Kosovo institutions have to be sure that time is on their side.
