Hoxhaj sends his condolences to Secretary Clinton on the death of Larry Rossin

Prishtina, 9 October 2012 – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj, sent a telegram of condolences to the American Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, after the death of the American diplomat, Lawrence G. Rossin (Larry Rossin).

In the telegram, on behalf of the Government and citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, Minister Hoxhaj offered the most sincere condolences to Secretary Clinton and the Rossin family, on the untimely passing away of a great friend of Kosovo, Larry Rossin.

Hoxhaj praised Rossin highly, as a distinguished diplomat, who during his life and activity became a person well-known for the efforts of American diplomacy to ensure that the values of freedom and democracy triumphed in the world, and especially in our region.

In addition, Minister Hoxhaj expressed the greatest consideration and appreciation of Kosovo’s people for Larry Rossin’s contribution and his work over many years in resolving the Kosovo question, and later as the first head of the American Office in Kosovo, as well as at the time of the declaration of independence, as UNMIK’s deputy chief in Kosovo.

“Kosovo’s people will remember Larry Rossin with great solemnity, not just as a supporter of Kosovo’s independence, but also as one of the diplomats who took concrete actions for Kosovo’s state-building”, stated Minister Enver Hoxhaj’s telegram.
