Hoxhaj thanks Feith for the successful conclusion to his mission in Kosovo

Prishtina, 12 September 2012 – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj, held a farewell meeting with Pieter Feith, Head of the former International Civilian Office in Kosovo, (ICO).

Minister Hoxhaj expressed the appreciation of the institutions and people of the Republic of Kosovo for the great work done by the ICO in Kosovo in all aspects and the strong support which Feith and the office he represented, provided to the state-building of an independent Kosovo.

"Kosovo’s state-building is a success story of the Republic of Kosovo, its citizens and our European friends and their representatives in Kosovo", said Minister Enver Hoxhaj.

He also informed Mr. Feith about the state agenda of Kosovo after the conclusion of the supervision of Kosovo’s independence.
 
Hoxhaj emphasized that after this historic decision, Kosovo’s only agenda is advancing Kosovo’s integration, starting with visa liberalization for Kosovo’s citizens and up to the feasibility study for the stabilization and association agreement.

“After the conclusion of supervision of independence, we remain fully committed to being exporters of peace, stability and prosperity, actively contributing as a credible and respected member of the international community. The key agenda of our institutions, together with political stability and economic development, is membership of the European Union”, said Minister Hoxhaj.

He asked for Pieter Feith’s continuing support for Kosovo’s integration.

Pieter Feith expressed his consideration for the progress achieved in Kosovo in all aspects, emphasizing that his support will continue for the further advancement of processes in Kosovo.
