Hoxhaj requests recognitions by Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt and Libya

Paris, July 6, 2012 – Within the frames of the Conference "Friends of the People of Syria", Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj held numerous meetings with various world leaders.

Minister Hoxhaj initially met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, Mohamed Kamel Amr.

In this case Hoxhaj once again asked the Egyptian minister that his country would recognize Kosovo's independence as soon as possible.

Hoxhaj Minister also met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Morocco, Saad-Eddine El Othman.

Hoxhaj handed to the Moroccan Minister the request for the recognition of the Republic of Kosovo.

Minister Saad Eddine Al-Uthman has pledged that the highest state institutions will review the application and the decision for recognition will be made within an appropriate period.

Hoxhaj also met Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tunisia, Rafik Abdessalem.

The Foreign Minister of Kosovo handed to the Tunisian Minister the request for recognition.

The Minister underlined that the people of Kosovo has welcomed the democratic changes in Tunisia and in other countries of the Arab world.

During this conference, Minister Enver Hoxhaj met with representatives of Libya and many other countries in an effort to increase the number of recognition to the Republic of Kosovo.
