“Undoubtedly, the Republic of Kosovo is part of this global agenda in terms of improving the air and its quality, which is taking concrete steps to improve air quality, mainly through the creation of renewable resources up to 20 % of energy production, expected to be achieved by 2020", stated Vuniqi.

Deputy Minister Vuniqi also spoke about the engagement of Kosovo's institutions on this issue. "There is no dilemma that the Republic of Kosovo will implement with high responsibility all the obligations arising from the Stabilization and Association Agreement with the European Union, regarding air quality. Kosovo needs and will be in full coordination with the EU, on plans and actions related to transport policy, agriculture and climate change, as they are considered to have an enormous impact on air quality", she said.
