Hoxhaj in Norway, with the agenda of deepening bilateral cooperation

Oslo, April 18, 2017 – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj, begun today his visit to the Kingdom of Norway.

    In the framework of this visit, Minister Hoxhaj was initially hosted by the members of the Committee of Foreign and Defense Affairs of the Norwegian Parliament, representatives of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Heads of the Norwegian Fund “Norfund” and then held a presentation at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs.

  The deepening of bilateral cooperation in the field of security, membership of Kosovo to the international organizations and expansion of economic cooperation have been some of the main issues discussed on the margins of these meetings.

  “In the meetings that we had with the members of the Parliament of this country, and with other representatives of the Norwegian government, we discussed about deepening further political cooperation, particularly the Norwegian support in the security sector and the future of Kosovo in the NATO, and we also discussed about Norwegian support to Kosovo membership to the international organizations, since such memberships will remain top national priority for Kosovo. Whereas, in future, special attention will be given to economic cooperation between both our countries, especially in the mining and minerals sector”, said Minister Hoxhaj.
