Minister Hoxhaj received congratulatory letters from the counterparts: Kosovo has made significant progress during nine years of independence

Prishtina, 17 February 2017 – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj, has received numerous congratulatory letters from his counterparts on the occasion of the ninth anniversary of independence.

US Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson was the first who congratulated Minister Hoxhaj with a letter, in which he praised Kosovo's progress in these nine years.

“We applaud the progress the people of Kosovo have made in developing democratic, multiethnic institutions over their nine years of independence" says Mr. Tillerson, by adding that United States praises the strong friendship with Kosovo, which is based on mutual aspirations for stability, peace, and prosperity for our citizens.

Minister Hoxhaj received many congratulatory letters from European countries as well. The counterparts from Czech Republic, Belgium, Estonia, Lithuania, and Hungary have also praised the Kosovo's achievements during nine years of independence and expressed the support for Kosovo on its path towards Euro-Atlantic integration.

Minister Hoxhaj also received congratulatory letters from counterparts in the region such as Montenegro, Macedonia and Croatia, as well as from Senegal, Africa.
