Gambia will recognize Kosovo soon

Minister Hyseni has informed Mrs. Susan Waffa-Ogoo, Gambian Ambassador to the UN, on the process of building and functionality of the state institutions of Kosovo.

New York-March 26, 2009

Minister has declared that Kosovo is seeking the highest European and international standards in the process of institution building. “Kosovo has marked an outstanding progress in the realm of legal infrastructure. Approved laws in the Assembly of Kosovo are compatible with laws of the European Union countries, whom Kosovo aims to join.” Minister Hyseni has stated.
After he’s briefed on the process of recognitions and the importance of this process, Minister Hyseni has repeated the request for recognition directed to the Government of Gambia.
Gambia Ambassador has congratulated Minister Hyseni for the progress achieved by Kosovo in all fields. She has stated that the government of her country follows carefully developments in Kosovo and related to Kosovo. As for the recognition, Ambassador Waffa-Ogoo has assured the Foreign Minister of Kosovo that the decision from Government of Gambia is to come soon.
