Minister Hyseni’s activities during his two day visit in London

H.E. Minister Hyseni has held a lecture in the Royal Institution of International Affairs ‘Chatham House’ in London. Minister Hyseni met with diplomats of the countries that are still in the process of reviewing the recognition of the independence of Kosovo, and particularly met with Ambassador Adel A. Babesail, the Chief of the Office of Arab League states.

Yesterday evening it was marked the inauguration of the Republic of Kosovo Embassy in London. Many guests were invited such as representatives of diplomatic missions, people with intellectual and cultural background and Kosovo fellow countrymen that work and live in the UK. Minister Hyseni used the opportunity to address a speech to those present.

Minister Hyseni has held today a lecture in the Royal Institution of International Affairs ‘Chatham House’. He lectured on the topic ‘Independent Kosovo- a year after’. Kosovo Foreign Minister discussed widely all achievements of the Republic of Kosovo during the first year of its independence and the challenges to be expected towards an economic stabilization. Other objects of discussion were also the dynamics of the process of recognitions and answers to many questions of those present.

During his visit in London, Foreign Minister of Kosovo, Skender Hyseni has met with a number of diplomats representing the countries that are still in the process of reviewing the recognition of Kosovo’s independence, among them Adel A. Babesail, the Chief of the Office of Arab League states, whom he talked about the developments in Kosovo in the aftermath of February 17, 2008 and requested recognition of the Republic of Kosovo by Arab League member states.

Minister Hyseni also met with the Foreign Office political director, Mark Lyall Grant, whom he talked broadly about developments in Kosovo. Mr. Grant has reassured the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Kosovo that the United Kingdom will work closely with the Government of Kosovo in all processes, including the process of recognition for Kosovo.
