Minister Hyseni receives the first Ambassador appointed to Kosovo, Mr. Islam Lauka

Today Kosovo Foreign Affairs Minister Skender Hyseni received, in a meeting, the first Ambassador of Republic of Albania appointed to Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Islam Lauka.

During a friendly and warm meeting, Minster Hyseni and Ambassador Lauka shared the same points of view on the progress that Kosovo has made, especially in this first vigil of its independence, as well for the numerous expected challenges in the long path to European integration. A joint topic of discussion was the further intensification of cooperation Kosovo-Albania in all fields. Kosovo and Albania has a lot in common, the historical past and above all the European future’, said inter alia Minister Hyseni, referring to the further intensification of relations between two countries.

Minister Hyseni and Ambassador Lauka considered a very important moment the intensification of the diplomatic relations between two countries and accreditation of Mr. Islam Lauka in Kosovo, as the first Ambassador of Republic of Albania in Kosovo Republic. Mr. Lauka reconfirmed the support of Albanian state to all process that Kosovo has been going through, with specific emphasize on recognition process.

From his side, Minister Hyseni once more expressed appreciation for huge help that Albania has offered in continuity to Kosovo. During the meeting, Ambassador Lauka passed a copy of credential letters, which right after He will pass officially to the President of Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Fatmir Sejdiu.
