European Film Academy admitted four Kosovars

Prishtina, 26 October 2017 – European Film Academy (EFA) within the admission of new members has also sent invitations to four young Kosovar members who have proven their successes to be part of the EFA.

New members of Academy are two Kosovar producers, Faton Bajraktari, known with the film “Home Sweet Home“ and Edon Rizvanolli, known with the film “T’padashtun“, both films proposed by Kosovo for Oscar, as well as two producers, Valon Bajgora and Yll Uka, who are co-producers of films “Three Days in September“ and “Rooftop Story“.

Director of KCC, Arben Zharku, stated: “Given that KCC is patron in the European Film Academy, the proximity to Academia is increasing. New memberships are result of successes of Kosovar films and an overview of the development of our cinematography”.

European Film Academy was founded in 1989, where the first Director was Ingmar Bergman, together with other founders as Pedro Almodovar, Lindsay Anderson, Bernardo Bertolucci, Sir Ben Kingsley, Andrzej Wajda, Wim Wenders, etc. With these admissions, Kosovo reaches a record number of 22 members.
