The magazine "Symbol" represents Kosovo at the European Conference of Cultural Magazines

Prishtina, 23 October 2017 - The Cultural Magazine "Symbol" was presented for the first time at the 28th Conference for European Cultural Journals which is being held in the city of Tartu in Estonia from 20 to 22 October 2017. Kosovo is presented for the first time in such a European organization, whereas the magazine "Symbol" is the only Albanian magazine that is part of this conference, reports Koha.net.

Through a press release, it is announced that the theme of the 28th edition of the conference is "Europe between digital salvation and post-truth resignation", where for three days will be discussed about the revolution that has brought to culture, but also in other areas the digitalization of news and the impact of false news on European society.

During the conference, where are present more than 100 participants from different countries of the world, besides the various discussions that will be held, will also be presented three cultural magazines, among which is also the magazine "Symbol".

During the presentation of the magazine, the founder and also the publisher Xhemajl Avdyli said, "our magazine, as a partner of the Eurozine, promotes values and provokes debates, either through interviews conducted with world-renowned personalities or with authorial. Until now, we have interviewed world-renowned personalities such as scholars, critics, novelists, poets and painters, as follows: Linda Hutcheon, Raoul Eshelman, Gottfried Helnwein, Mieke Bal, Andreas Huyssen, D. M. Thomas, Rita Dove, Jonathan Culler etc.”

The conference is organized by the European Network of Cultural Journals- Eurozine in cooperation with partner magazine Eurozine Vikerkaar, Institute of Social Studies, part of the University of Tartu, as well as Estonian Cultural Organization SA Kultuurileht.

"Eurozine" is a network of cultural journals linking over 80 partner magazines and many magazine and partner institutions that cooperate in almost all European countries.

"Symbol" was founded in 2012 and so far has brought to the Albanian reader the most eminent names from different fields of world culture but also Albanian culture. It is a full member of "Eurozine" since 2016. Whereas these days it has been released for sale the 11th issue, and brings to the reader rich and interesting content.
