The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo, Donika Gërvalla, met with the representatives of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, led by the Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, Yousef bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen.
In this meeting, President Osmani asked Secretary Al-Othaimeen for support in securing new recognitions from the member states of the Islamic Conference, as well as for the membership of the Republic of Kosovo in international organizations.
She underlined Kosovo's readiness to deepen political and economic cooperation with the member states of this organization.
Minister Gërvalla, meanwhile, stressed Kosovo's readiness for cooperation with the countries of the Islamic Conference in various fields, thus deepening bilateral relations with these countries.
Secretary Al-Othaimeen expressed his willingness to deepen cooperation and underlined the fact that in 2018 he asked the member states of the Islamic Conference, which have not yet recognized Kosovo's independence, to do so as soon as possible.
