The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Mrs. Meliza Haradinaj-Stublla, on behalf of the Republic of Kosovo and its people, congratulated the institutions and people of Saint Lucia, on the occasion of the February 22nd- Independence Day
In her congratulations to her counterpart, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Allen Michael Chastanet, who is also the Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, the Minister Haradinaj-Stublla, wished well-being and prosperity to the friendly people, expressing her will and commitment to strengthen cooperation and deepen bilateral relations, on all issues of common interest.
The agreement signed last year between the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and the Government of Saint Lucia on the abolition of visas for holders of diplomatic and official passports, according to the Kosovo Chief Diplomat, is seen by both countries as a step towards strengthening already excellent relations.
“Therefore, I am committed to continue the discussion for the deepening of bilateral cooperation, in all areas with a positive impact on our countries ", said Minister Haradinaj-Stublla, praying for continued peace and prosperity to the friendly people of Saint Lucia.
The island nation in the eastern part of the Caribbean Sea, Saint Lucia, has recognized the independence of the Republic of Kosovo on August 19, 2011, and on the same day diplomatic relations was established between the two countries.
