On April 8, 2021, Kreshnik Ahmeti was appointed Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo. When the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora was headed by former Minister Glauk Konjufca in 2020, Ahmeti worked as the chief of cabinet of the minister.
Kreshnik Ahmeti was born on February 15, 1990 in Prishtina. He completed his Bachelor studies in the Faculty of Economics at the University of Prishtina, while in 2018 he received a Master of Business Administration degree from the North Dakota State University, USA. During his two-year studies he was hired as a teaching and research assistant at North Dakota State University.
Ahmeti has started his political activity in 2010 in the Movement for Self-Determination (Lëvizja VETËVENDOSJE!; MSD) where he initially served as Coordinator of the Political Activities Secretariat. From 2014 to 2016 he served as a municipal councilor in the Municipality of Prishtina, where he also chaired the Public Services Committee and was a shareholder representative at the Municipal “Public Transport” Company.
From 2018 for a year Ahmeti was the General Secretariat Coordinator in the MSD. Meanwhile, since 2019, he is a Member of the Presidency and serves as Secretary of External and International Relations of MSD.
