Minister Hoxhaj consoles the Ukrainian counterpart following the accident that took the life of five people

Prishtina, June 10, 2012 – Kosovo’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Enver Hoxhaj, sent a note of condolence to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Kostyantyn Gryshchenko, following the accident on Sunday near Kiev when an airplane with paratroopers crashed taking the lives of five people and leaving 13 other injured.

In the note, Minister Hoxhaj expressed the deep pain of the Government and of the people of the Republic of Kosovo for the victims and those injured in the accident.
 
“In these difficult days, allow me, on behalf of the institutions and of the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, to express our most sincere condolences to you and the families of the victims and we pray for a quick recovery of those injured”, the note reads.

Referring to the Ukrainian Ministry for Emergency Situations, international media report that a small aircraft crashed while attempting to land near capital Kiev following the storm that came into the area. The aircraft was carrying 16 paratroopers and 2 crew members, five of whom were killed in the crash and others are injured.
