Minister Hoxhaj sends condolences telegram to his counterpart, Haxhinasto after the serious accident which occurred near Himara

Prishtina, 21 May 2012 – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj, sent a condolences telegram to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Albania, Edmond Haxhinasto, in which he expressed the deep shock of the Government and people of Kosovo at the tragic accident in Himara, in which a large number of young people were killed and many injured.

“In this terrible accident, we unite in the pain and sorrow of the families who lost their children in this tragedy. The people of Kosovo also join the prayers for the quick recovery of those injured in this tragedy”, stated the telegram.

Minister Hoxhaj expressed the total solidarity and readiness of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo to assist with all means and forms, the Albanian authorities and the families of those in the accident, to quickly overcome this tragic situation.

A serious road accident occurred on Monday afternoon on the road between Himara and Saranda in which a bus with about 50 students on board fell over the edge, into a gorge.
