British Council in Kosovo, British Council in Washington D.C. and the British Embassy in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo organize the “Transatlantic Network TN2020”

Prishtina, March 25 2012 – British Council in Kosovo is the host of “Transatlantic Network 2020” conference that will take place on March 27 – 29, 2012. The theme of the conference is ‘Empowerment in the Balkans’.

“Transatlantic Network 2020 (TN2020)” is a sustainable network of young leaders from Europe and North America supported by British Council aiming at developing new ideas and creative approaches for the common challenges. Initiative TN2020 aims at developing a practical approach that can utilize youth and the Balkan’s citizen capacities in attaining the goals and implementing common objectives.

This complex matter will be discussed, elaborated and materialized in concrete projects. This will be executed from four working groups during the three days of the conference:

•    The Government Group
•    The Business Group
•    The Media Group
•    The Group of Civil Society

At a joint conference which will be organized on Monday, March 26, 2012 at 12:00 noon, at the media hall of the Kosovo Government building. Petrit Selimi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo, and Arjeta Emra, Director of British Council in Kosovo, will appear before the journalists at this conference.

Medias are also invited to attend at the opening of the conference session which will take place on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, from 09:00 am until 10:15 am at “Hotel Emerald”.
