Ambassador Lulzim Peci hands the credentials to the King of Norway

Oslo, 16 December, 2011 – On Thursday, in front of a solemn audience at the royal palace in Oslo, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Lulzim Peci, handed the credentials to His Excellency, King Herald V of Norway.

H.E. King Herald V of Norway was briefed by Ambassador Peci on the achieved progress in the Republic of Kosovo in building statehood and democratic institutions, the integration of minority communities and in relations with neighbouring countries and thanked him for the consistent assistance of the Kingdom of Norway given to the people and to the state of Kosovo.

H.E. King Herald V of Norway expressed his satisfaction on the visit of Kosovo’s Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Hashim Thaçi in Oslo by the end of November 2011. Ambassador Peci underscored that for his it is an extraordinary honour that he is accredited as Kosovo’s first Ambassador to the Kingdom of Norway and that this occurs exactly at the time when bilateral agreements are at the highest level.

At the conclusion of the solemn audience with H.E. King Herald V of Norway underscored that bilateral agreements with the Kingdom of Norway are a high priority for the Republic of Kosovo and assured that he will do anything possible within his competencies that these relationships will be further intensified in the future.

Upon the act of handing credentials to H.E. King Herald V, the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Stockholm covers the Kingdom of Norway as a non-resident diplomatic mission accredited in Oslo.
