He is a Visiting Scholar at Oxford University’s Rothermere American Institute, a Contributing Editor of The New Republic and a commentator, lecturer and analyst on world affairs and U.S. foreign policy. Having served in the State Department during the administration of President Bill Clinton, he became a Sky News television news journalist and commentator.

Nadim Shehadi, an associate fellow of Chatham House’s Middle East and North Africa programme, Senior member of St Antony\'s College Oxford where he was director of the Centre for Lebanese Studies from 1986-2005. Consultant and advisor to several governments and international organizations.
