Kosovo as a strong country and integrated in NATO is a guarantee for security in Southeast Europe, said on Monday the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Meliza Haradinaj-Stublla, during her official meeting in Ankara with her counterpart, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Mr. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.
Chief diplomat of Kosovo said that she is grateful for the multidimensional and uninterrupted support of Turkey, especially in strengthening the international subjectivity of the Republic of Kosovo.
In a meeting with Minister Çavuşoğlu, Minister Haradinaj-Stublla said that all aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed, raising the issue of access to the anti-COVID 19 vaccine, and support for close cooperation in this regard.
In the framework of the discussion on regional and international developments, Chief Diplomat Haradinaj-Stublla requested the further support of Turkey in concluding the universal recognition of the state of Kosovo, as a member with full rights and responsibilities in the international community.
“"I assured my counterpart that a strong Kosovo, integrated in NATO and internationally recognized is a strong guarantee of security and stability in Southeast Europe. At the same time, I was assured by Minister Çavuşoğlu that Turkey will continue its full support for Kosovo in this aspect ", said the Minister.
"We also showed readiness to further deepen relations in terms of security and military, especially the legitimate aspiration of Kosovo to advance its integration path to NATO, thus completing the security architecture in the Adriatic basin."
The two ministers also discussed the need to increase economic activity between the two countries and improve the trade balance. Minister Çavuşoğlu said that in this context, Turkish investments in Kosovo will be increased and conditions will be provided for the increase of Kosovo exports to Turkey.
