Abu Dhabi, 2 March 2019 – The Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Behgjet Pacolli, welcomed and complimented the unanimous approval of the Resolution on Kosovo by 57 member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation – OIC, in the 46th Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers, in the Capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi.
“I am grateful to the OIC and the member states for the unanimous approval of the Resolution, calling upon its member states to recognize Kosovo and support its membership to International Organizations. Kosovo will continue its commitment with the OIC and it will further enhance the relations,” said the Kosovo Top Diplomat, Pacolli, following the adoption of such Resolution.
“38 OIC member states have already recognized the Republic of Kosovo. We anticipate that also 19 member states of this Organization, which have not rendered such decision, will soon do so. The Resolution requests exactly that and we expect new movements in this regard”, said the second top Government official, Pacolli.
During his attendance and representation of Kosovo to the 46th Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers, in Abu Dhabi, the Kosovo Foreign Minister, Pacolli, met with the majority of his counterparts from 57 member states, who participated in this meeting and who come from four different world continents.
