Foreign Minister Pacolli meets Foreign Ministers of non-recognizing countries, he requests them to review the recognition

New York, 25 September 2018 – In the framework of numerous meetings conducted by the Kosovo Chief Diplomat, Behgjet Pacolli, with his counterparts at margins of the General Assembly of the United Nations, he separately met two Foreign Ministers of the countries not recognizing Kosovo, respectively the Foreign Minister of Bahamas, Darren Allan Heinfield and the Foreign Minister of Ruanda, Louise Mushikiwabo.

During these meetings, it was discussed about the achievements of Kosovo in the last decade, strengthening of its international subjectivity and its integration to European and International Organizations.

In this context, it was also discussed about the possibility for these two countries to reconsider the recognition of Kosovo in the near future as a sovereign country, in order to join the majority of UN member states and support its integration in international organizations.   

Both counterparts of these states appraised the overall achievements of Kosovo and the importance of establishing cooperation in the function of common interests.
