Washington, March 21, 2017 – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj has continued the busy agenda of the visit in Washington, meeting with senior officials in the US State Department.
After meetings with congressmen and senators, Hoxhaj met Hoyt Yee, Deputy Assistant of the US Secretary of State, with whom he discussed about the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries, support on recognitions and membership of Kosovo to the international organizations.
Hoxhaj said that the USA remains the main supporter of Kosovo in the process of Euro-Atlantic integrations, and emphasized that there’s potential for cooperation even in new fields of joint interest.
“We have discussed about the excellent bilateral relations, the unreserved US support for new Kosovo recognitions, membership to international organizations as well as the latest developments in the region. USA remains supportive and point of reference for Kosovo throughout the world and this relation will continue in many other fields not yet explored”, said Hoxhaj.
Hoxhaj will continue with meetings in Congress next days, and will participate in the annual meeting of Anti-ISIS coalition.
