Tirana, April 12, 2017 - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj is on an official visit to Tirana, where he has tight agenda of meetings with leaders of Albania.
During his visit to Tirana, Hoxhaj met with Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, with whom he discussed about holding the next joint meeting of the governments of Kosovo and Albania, on April 24, 2017.
Whereas, in his separate meeting with Foreign Minister of Albania, Ditmir Bushati, the two counterparts discussed the details of the preparation of the meeting and about possible topics of discussion.
Hoxhaj said that the purpose of holding this meeting is to succeed in coming up with a list of activities and measurable goals in order to facilitate exchanges between the two countries.
"The purpose of this year’s meeting of our governments is to succeed in having more realistic approach toward issues that preoccupy both governments and citizens, and come up with a list of topics, activities and measurable goals, in order to succeed in facilitating economic, cultural, touristic and commercial exchanges, and many other fields between the two countries", said Minister Hoxhaj in joint press conference with counterpart Bushati.
During the day, Hoxhaj also met with the President of Albania Bujar Nishani, Speaker of the Assembly Ilir Meta, whom he thanked for their continued support toward Kosovo in many important processes for the country.
Kosovo’s top diplomat also met with the leader of the Democratic Party, Lulëzim Basha, and afterwards will hold a meeting with the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.
