Bled, 5 September 2017 – The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Valon Murtezaj, is representing the Republic of Kosovo in the works of Strategic Forum in Bled of Slovenia, a meeting that is attended by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the South East Europe Cooperation Process (SEECP) under the chairmanship of Slovenia.
In his address to the SEECP Foreign Ministers' Forum, Deputy Minister Murtezaj discussed about the perspective of regional cooperation and emphasized the importance that the Republic of Kosovo is giving to this cooperation.
Following his address, Murtezaj expressed the engagement and commitment of the Republic of Kosovo to be active in the regional forums and to contribute in strengthening regional cooperation; strengthening of peace and growth of economic development, reiterating Kosovo's demand to take over the chairmanship of this important regional organization.
During his speech, he re-emphasized the commitment that our country is showing on the path of European integration, following the signing of the Stabilization and Association Agreement, while reiterating the position of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo to continue with good neighbouring policies and peaceful approach to common issues.
At the meeting of the Foreign Affairs Ministers of the South-eastern Europe Cooperation Process, in addition to the ministers of the member countries, this meeting is attended also by the High Representative for the EU Foreign and Security Policy, Frederika Mogherini, and other observer officials from Europe and the United States.
