Prishtina, 14 April 2018 – The Republic of Kosovo's diplomatic representation in Costa Rica is an important result of our ongoing work and dedication to re-open the doors and strengthen relations with the states that have recognized Kosovo, while lobbying strongly to states not recognizing our country, by building new friendly relationships.
This could be achieved through an increased diplomatic presence of Kosovo all over the world and with a proactive diplomacy, which is also occurring.
This is how the head of Kosovo diplomacy, Mr Behgjet Pacolli, evaluated the appointment of the Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo in Panama, Mrs Zana Rudi, as a non-resident Ambassador in the state of Costa Rica.
Ambassador Rudi, on Friday, April 13, handed over the credentials to Costa Rican President in Office Mr Helio Fallas Venegas, as well as the Minister of Foreign Affairs Manuel Antonio Gonzalez Sanz.
Costa Rica had recognized the Independence of the Republic of Kosovo on the same day of its annunciation on February 17, 2008, and since then relations between the two countries have been steadily rising.
