Two new agreements between the Republic of Kosovo and the European Union were signed at a ceremony at the European Commission in Brussels.
Commissioner Tibor Navracsics and Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Gashi co-signed an agreement for Kosovo’s participation in the Creative Europe programme. While Minister of Education Science and Technology, Shyqiri Bytyqi together with Commissioner Navracsics co-signed the Erasmus + agreement. Kosovo's participation in the Erasmus + and Creative Europe program will further strengthen mutual co-operation between Kosovo and the European Union in the areas of culture, education, youth and sport
Creative Europe programme will create opportunities for support and support for the cultural and creative sectors of our country, and will also build bridges with other countries, creating space for people in people's contacts, mutual co-creation and mutual understanding.
Joining Erasmus + will bring in Kosovo an equal footing with the Western Balkan countries and EU member states in supporting policies such as the European Qualifications Framework, Eurydice, Europass and Euroguidance and electronic platforms (including eTwinning and EPALE).
A Framework Agreement for Kosovo’s participation in union programmes was signed in November 2016. Kosovo Government has selected four programs for participation for 2018. These include the COSME, Creative Europe, Erasmus + and Europe for Citizens.
