Minister Hoxhaj participates in burial ceremony of Saudi Arabia prince
Apart from the royal Saudi family and many other high ranking state, religious, academic and social dignitaries of the country, there were many other personalities of world politics participating, like US Vice President, Joe Biden, the British throne contender Prince Charles and many other senior representatives from states all around the world.
The Secretary of the Arab League, Nabil Elaraby, the Secretary of the Islamic Organization for Cooperation, Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, and dozens of foreign affairs ministers from all around the world also participated in the ceremony.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj, participated in the central ceremony in honor of Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud who passed away on 22 October.
On this occasion, Minister Hoxhaj, conveyed on behalf of the institutions of Kosovo condolences of the people of Kosovo to the royal Saudi family over the death of the Prince.
Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud has been the main contender to succeed the current king of Saudi Arabia, Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
He was considered as one of the central figures of the Saudi Arabia and exercised important functions like principal deputy prime minister and minister of defense and aviation.
During his 80-year long life, Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, gained the respect of statesmen from all around the world for his sublime virtues and deeds he was characterized with.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia recognized the Republic of Kosovo on 20 April 2009, while friendly bilateral relations between the two peoples are constantly advancing. The Saudi authorities are also giving a precious contribution to strengthening of the international subjectivity of the Republic of Kosovo.
