Vatican supports Republic of Kosovo in every aspect

Prishtina, 5 September 2011 – The citizens of Kosovo are expected to soon receive good news from Vatican in relation to the recognition of the independent and sovereign state of Kosovo.

This was announced in a meeting that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj, had on Monday with Juliusz Janusz, apostolic delegate of Vatican for the Republic of Kosovo, who is also the apostolic nuncio for Slovenia.

Minister Hoxhaj thanked Mr. Janusz for the continuous support of Vatican for Kosovo and its citizens. 

Hoxhaj also expressed the commitment of the institutions and the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo to strengthen the overall good relations with the Holy See, expressing the conviction that Vatican will play an even stronger role in supporting the progress of the Republic of Kosovo in every aspect in the future.  

On the other hand, the apostolic delegate of Vatican for the Republic of Kosovo, Juliusz Janusz, expressed the overall support of Vatican for the people and the institutions of Kosovo. 

He acknowledged the progress made in Kosovo and expressed the support of Vatican in advancing of democratic processes in Kosovo. 

In terms of the recognition of Kosovo by the Holy See, Juliusz Janusz said that he will soon come to Kosovo with good news from Vatican in this respect. 

Juliusz Janusz, Vatican’s apostolic delegate for the Republic of Kosovo, will participate in the festivities to be organized in honor of Mother Theresa at the “Mother Theresa Cathedral” in Prishtina. 

The Vatican nuncio for Slovenia also participated in a holy mass held in Prizren on Sunday.
