Hoxhaj: Regional cooperation, a European priority

Berlin, 24 November 2012 – During his participation in the Conference of Foreign Ministers of South Eastern Europe in Berlin, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj, held separate meetings with his counterparts from Montenegro, Nebojša Kaluđerović and Macedonia, Nikola Poposki.

Minister Hoxhaj praised the very good relations and strong cooperation between the Republic of Kosovo and the two neighboring states.

Hoxhaj thanked his counterparts from Montenegro and Macedonia for the support that Podgorica and Skopje have given to Kosovo, in its membership of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

Kosovo’s Foreign Minister praised the bilateral agreement between Kosovo and the two states, emphasizing that these agreements are decisive for cooperation and strong economic exchange between states in the region.

“Kosovo’s approach is to have close regional cooperation in all areas of life, which will assist our countries economic growth and free movement of people, ideas and goods, and this cooperation is a precondition for our countries to move faster on the path to European integration”, said Hoxhaj, during his meetings with Kaluderovic and Poposki.
 
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Montenegro, Nebojša Kaluderovic and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia, Nikola Poposki, praised Kosovo’s progress and expressed the support of their two states for Kosovo’s integration in regional and European organizations.

They expressed their appreciation for the deep cooperation which is developing between the Republic of Kosovo and their states.
