In the meeting, Minister Hoxhaj informed Mr. Zannier about the Kosovo Government’s reforms and attempts to comprehensively consolidate the statehood and international subjectivity of the Republic of Kosovo.

Hoxhaj thanked the OSCE for the support that it is giving Kosovo for the development of democracy and protection and promotion of human and community rights.

Kosovo’s Foreign Minister also informed the OSCE Secretary General about the progress made by the Republic of Kosovo.

“This progress included this year the removal of international oversight of Kosovo, which has made our independence and sovereignty complete. At the same time, it has made our institutions stronger and with full competences”, said Hoxhaj, during the meeting.

He also emphasized the successes achieved by the state of Kosovo in the process of full international recognition of Kosovo and its integration into the international system, where “half of the UN member states have now recognized Kosovo and Kosovo is joining important organizations, such as the EBRD”.

Minister Hoxhaj focused on the European integration agenda of Kosovo, emphasizing that Kosovo is strongly committed to two parallel processes, the movement of citizens without visas and the process of signing an Agreement on Stabilization and Association, after publishing the progress report.

The Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, Lamberto Zannier expressed his thanks for cooperation between the OSCE and the Kosovo institutions and said that the OSCE is interested in supporting further progress, considering it important for peace, security and stability inside Kosovo and in the region.
