On Saturday afternoon, officials of the Consulate in Frankfurt noticed that the state symbols of the Republic of Kosovo, including the seal and emblem on the Consulate’s main door, had been damaged.

The seal of the Republic of Kosovo had been erased with a strong instrument and the graffiti, “Kosovo is Serbia” had been written in Serbian.

After reporting the case, besides the Ministry of Foreign of Affairs of Kosovo, Consulate officials immediately informed the German police and relevant authorities, who visited the location and processed the case.

After detailed investigation it was noted that other parts of the building had no signs of violent interference and the act had been committed only outside the building.

The German police are engaging in all necessary procedures to find those responsible and the motive behind this act.

The Kosovo MFA expressed its indignation at this low act against the state symbols of the Republic of Kosovo, reemphasizing the determination of diplomatic and consular missions and the Kosovo Foreign Service to further consolidating the international subjectivity of the Republic of Kosovo and continually improving the consular service for Kosovo citizens living outside the country.

The Kosovo MFA expressed its great appreciation to the German authorities for their commitment to investigating this case, and expressed full confidence that those responsible for this vandalistic act will be found soon and face justice.

The Kosovo MFA emphasized that such low acts will not affect the work and good image of the state of the Republic of Kosovo everywhere in the world, where it is represented by diplomatic and consular missions.
