Hoxhaj requests continuing support for Kosovo from the European Parliament

Prishtina, 5 October 2012 – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj received the Belgian Euro-Deputy, Annemie Neyts-Uyttebroeck in a meeting.

Minister Hoxhaj thanked the Euro-deputy for the great support that Belgium and the European Parliament are giving Kosovo.

“State-building in Kosovo is a success story of the Republic of Kosovo, its citizens and our European friends”, said Hoxhaj, adding that after the removal of international supervision, Kosovo’s only agenda is European integration.
 
Hoxhaj asked for continuing support from Belgium and the European Parliament in Euro-integration processes, starting with visa liberalization for Kosovo’s citizens and including a feasibility study on a Stabilization and Association Agreement.

The Euro-deputy Annemie Neyts-Uyttebroeck praised progress achieved in Kosovo, expressing her continuing support for Kosovo, with special emphasis on state-building processes and the Euro-integration path.
