Body of the poet Ali Podrimja to return to Kosovo tomorrow

Prishtina, 25 July 2012 – Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo has undertaken all measures and completed all relevant procedures to return to Kosovo the body of the great poet, Ali Podrimja, who was found dead on Saturday, in the vicinity of the city of Lodève in France.

With the Decision of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj, the Foreign Ministry, through the Embassy of Kosovo in Paris, following its utmost efforts in finding the poet Podrimja, has now completed all relevant procedures and has arranged for the transport of the body of the poet Podrimja to the fatherland.

The body is expected to arrive from Geneva at the Prishtina International Airport “Adem Jashari”, tomorrow (Thursday) at 08:55, AM.           

On Friday, the Embassy of Kosovo in Paris will organize a commemorative ceremony to honour the life and the deeds of the poet Ali Podrimja. The ceremony expects the attendance of the diplomatic corpse accredited in Paris, representatives of French institutions, French poets, writers and intellectuals as well as other citizens.
