Hoxhaj: Germany’s support is of special importance for Kosovo’s progress

Prishtina, June 20, 2012 – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj received today in a meeting Marieluise Beck, a member of the German Bundestag from the Green Party and a member of Foreign Policy Committee.

Minister Hoxhaj thanked Mrs. Beck for the decennial support to Kosovo starting with the powerfully supporting the aspiration of the people of Kosovo for freedom during 1990’s, the assistance provided to Kosovo during its most difficult days during the war as well as in the current state-building processes.

Hoxhaj briefed Mrs. Beck for the progress being achieved in Kosovo, the progress of internal processes and the ongoing strengthening of the international subjectivism of the Republic of Kosovo.

In this context, Hoxhaj appreciated the special importance of Germany’s support to Kosovo and its citizens as one of Kosovo’s key strategic partners.

Hoxhaj also spoke of the perspective and concrete steps of Kosovo’s European integration processes by thanking all German institutions for the powerful support they are providing to Kosovo in this direction.

On the other hand, the member of the German Bundestag, Marieluise Beck stated that she will continue to be a powerful voice within the German Parliament in supporting Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic perspective.

Beck appreciated the progress being achieved in Kosovo and expressed her conviction in the further advancement of the international subjectivity and of other Kosovo’s state-building processes.
