Minister Hoxhaj sends a note of condolence following the fire with devastating consequences in Qatar

Prishtina, May 13, 2012 – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj send a note of condolence to the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jabr Al-Thani, regarding the fire incident at a trade center in the capital of Qatar, Doha, that left 13 children and 6 other people dead.

In the note, Minister Hoxhaj expressed the deep pain of the Government and of the people of the Republic of Kosovo about the victims and those injured by this horrible fire with disastrous consequences.

“In these difficult days, on behalf of the institutions and of the citizens of Kosovo, allow me to express our most sincere condolences to you and to the victims’ families and we pray for a speedy recovery of those injured”, the note reads.

On Monday, a fire erupted in a trade center in Doha, Qatar, leaving 19 people dead, 13 of whom were children.

International media reports that among the victims are seven girls, six boys, four teachers and two trade center custodians. Also according to the media, four of the victims are Spanish, three are from the New Zealand, two from South Africa and one is from France. The nationality of the other victims remains unknown.
