Hoxhaj: Albanian Americans strongly support state-building

Prishtina, 24 May 2012 – Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj held a meeting with the Executive Director of the National Albanian American Council, Avni Mustafaj.

In the meeting, they discussed opportunities for deepening cooperation between this society and the MFA, in order to strengthen the extremely important relations between the United States of America and the Republic of Kosovo.

On this occasion, Minister Hoxhaj thanked Albanians in America for their unforgettable contribution to freedom and independence, and today, to state-building in the Republic of Kosovo.

“Albanians in America were the first ambassadors of Kosovo who condemned the violence against Albanians in Kosovo, who helped the liberation war, who helped the declaration of independence, and today they are strong supporters of state-building”, said Minister Hoxhaj.

Minister Hoxhaj added that the Kosovo Government will continue to support the National Albanian-American Council.

The Executive Director of the National Albanian-American Council, Avni Mustafaj, thanked Minister Hoxhaj and pledged that they would continue to be a strong voice for Kosovo in all America’s institutions.
