Minister Hoxhaj attends the UN Security Council session

New York, 13 May 2012 – Tomorrow, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj will attend the next session of the UN Security Council, which will review the quarterly report of the Secretary General, Ban Ki Moon regarding the situation in Kosovo.

Minister Hoxhaj will address the Security Council as he presents the ongoing progress being marked by the Republic of Kosovo and the challenges faced by Kosovo at this stage.

Hoxhaj will inform the UN Security Council members on the continued empowerment of the state of Kosovo, the internal institutional, social and economical progress as well as the further strengthening of the international subjectivity of the independent and sovereign state of Kosovo.

Kosovo’s Foreign Minister will also speak about the situation in the north of the Republic of Kosovo, about the recent developments and the determination of the Government of Kosovo, in close cooperation with the international factor, to establish the rule of law and order in that part of territory.

Hoxhaj will also report on the technical dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia and on the incomplete implementation by the Serbian part of the agreements reached thus far.

Before the members of the UN Security Council, Minister Hoxhaj will also present the powerful institutional and social engagement of Kosovo in quickly pushing forward its European integration path.
