Kosovo’s new Ambassador to the US, Akan Ismajli, receives his letters of credentials from President Jahjaga

Prishtina, 18 April 2012 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga held a meeting today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj and the new Kosovo Ambassador to the US, Akan Ismajli.

President Jahjaga and Foreign Minister Hoxhaj discussed the excellent relations between the United States of America and the Republic of Kosovo and he gave his support to the new Ambassador in the US, Akan Ismajli.

Ambassador Ismajli received his letters of credentials from the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga.

President Jahjaga asked Ambassador Ismajli to send her best wishes to President Obama and the people of the United States of America and the commitment of the Republic of Kosovo to advancing and making dynamic the special relation between the two countries.

Ambassador Ismajli will submit his letters of credentials to the President of the United States of America, Barack Obama, on 02.05.2012. 
     
Before leaving for the United States of America, Ambassador Ismajli will hold meetings with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, with the Speaker Jakup Krasniqi and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Enver Hoxhaj.
