Hoxhaj and Çitaku receive strong support from the EU

Brussels, 27 February 2012– The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj and the Minister of European Integrations, Vlora Çitaku have continued their meetings with many foreign affairs ministers of European Union Member States.

The two ministers had a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Czech Republic, Karel Schwarzenberg.

Initially both ministers thanked Minister Schwarzenberg for the continued support his Government has provided in the state-building process of the Republic of Kosovo.

Both ministers have received support from Deputy Prime Minister Schwarzenberg that his country will continue to support Kosovo’s journey towards the European Union.

Minister Hoxhaj and Minister Çitaku also met with the minister of foreign affairs of Estonia, Urmas Paet. They also had a business meeting with the Finnish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Erkki Tuomioja whom they thanked for the support that this country is providing to the Republic of Kosovo.

In all these meetings both ministers have received support from powerful countries of the European Union on obtaining the roadmap, signing contractual relations and on commencing the feasibility study for the Stabilization-Association Agreement.

During the day both minister have had meetings with senior European Union representatives and ministers of foreign affairs from whom they sought their support in Kosovo’s integration processes.
