Minister Hoxhaj sent a note of condolence to his counterpart, Edmund Haxhinasto

Prishtina, 20 February – Kosovo’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Enver Hoxhaj, sent a note of condolence to Albania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Edmond Haxhinasto, following the killing of one Albanian soldier and the serious wounding of another.

The note states that Albanians, everywhere they are, join in the pain of the victim’s family and join in prayers for the survival of the other soldier.

“On behalf of the Government and of the people of the Republic of Kosovo, we express our condolences on the loss of life of a soldier of the Commando Unit “Eagle-4” of the Albanian army in Afghanistan and of the serious wounding of another. The killing has shocked the Albanian nation anywhere they are. As government, we strongly condemn the killing of the Albanian army who have greatly contributed in securing peace in Afghanistan”, states among other the note of condolence sent to Minister Haxhinasto.
