Kosovo Officials Visited Germany within the Program for Young Leaders

Berlin, 25 November 2011. – High-Official State delegation composed of representatives of institutions and political parties of Kosovo concluded its visit to the Federal Republic of Germany.

Special invitations of the German Federal Government were sent to Minister of Environment, Dardan Gashi, Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Nenad Rasic, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Petrit Selimi, Assembly members Donika Kada Bujupi, Lutfi Haziri and Arben Gashi, as well as Chief of Staff of the President of Kosovo, Mr. Ilir Deda.

German Government has prepared special compressed agenda for Kosovo delegation in order to deliver detailed information on the German position in relation with European integration of the Republic of Kosovo, as well as with processes of normalization of good neighboring relations.

The Delegation was received by members of Bundestag, Committee for Foreign Relations, State Secretary Emily Haber, leaders in charge for Lander Mecklenburg – West Pomerania, representatives of business community as well as officials from historical institutions, civil society and cultural institutions.

Minister Gashi expressed his appreciation for the initiative of the Federal Republic of Germany for deepening and diversification of relations between two states and welcomed expressed interest for exchange of the energy from renewable sources.

Assembly member Kada Bujupi expressed her appreciation for German continual support to Kosovo in political and economic processes.

Kosovo representatives informed German officials about progress and main challenges of Kosovar state and society in transition.

One-week stay in the Federal Republic of Germany was organized and sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany in order to exchange experiences for normalization of relations between neighbors, within the program especially designed for Kosovo leaders.
