Sara Rodiqi, winner of #InstaKosova competitionPrishtina, 13 February 2015 - The national competition for the best photos in #InstaKosova, initiated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo to mark the seventh anniversary of independence, has ended.
The competition, organized for the second time as part of the digital diplomacy project and the celebration of the seventh anniversary of independence, accepted about 25 thousand photos posted in all social networks with the hashtags #InstaKosova and #InstaKosovo.
The jury consisted of Blerim Racaj (photographer), Nita Salihu (designer), Blerta Kambo (photographer), Arjeta Emra (director at the British Council) and Era Istrefi (singer), who have evaluated the photos posted in all social networks. The photos reflect on architecture, urbanism, nature, society, nightlife, youth and life in Kosovo.
The winner of the best photo is Sara Rodiqi, "Nkamp verës në Ngom Fest, Prizren". The jury who selected the photo said that "Sara's photography is undeniably sincere, pure, real, and lush with life - a charming snapshot of friends that seem to have all the world bubbling within them, conveying a state of limitless utopia with each other and with us as viewers.It is not a photo that is instantly noticeable, but it is one whose beauty gracefully grows and multiplies as you stare at it."
The winners of the 10 best photos are Jetmir Idrizi, Diellza Hasani, Armend Krasniqi, Agon Syla, Agron Beqiri, Nita Deda, Orgesa Arifi, Fisnik Dobreci, Drenusha Lika and Nëntor Oseku.
The best photo is rewarded with 500 euros and the 10 best photos each with 100 euros. Meanwhile, the jury has selected 100 photos which will be published in a book of photographs. The book will be shared for free in various state institutions around the world.
In addition, these photos will be part of the #InstaKosova exhibition which will open on 16 February to celebrate the seventh anniversary of independence. Opening of the exhibition will take place on Monday, 16 February 2015, at 17:00, in the Mother Teresa square in Prishtina, at the EU Cultural Center.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo today also launched the official website www.instakosova.com, where you can check all winners and best 100 photos.
