Minister of Foreign Affairs Pacolli appoints two representative members of the Republic of Kosovo to the Venice Commission

Prishtina, 6 August 2018 – In the meeting held, the First Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Behgjet Pacolli, announced the decision to appoint the two representative members of the Republic of Kosovo to the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission), which is a mechanism within the Council of Europe.

The two newly appointed members are professors of the Faculty of Law of the University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina”, Qerim Qerimi and Visar Morina.


During the meeting, the First Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Pacolli, asked from the newly appointed members a maximum engagement and proper representation in the Venice Commission, while the Professors Qerimi and Morina expressed their commitment for a professional work and representation of the Republic of Kosovo in this mechanism, with a view to improving the legal order, the level of democracy and strengthening the position of our country in the international arena.
