Foreign Minister Pacolli: Changing the reporting format on Kosovo at the UNSC is a success for Kosovo and its allies and partners

Pristina, 1 August 2018 – First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Behgjet Pacolli, welcomed and takes positive note of the takeover of the Presidency of the United Nations Security Council by the United Kingdom and the approval of the new agenda of the British presidency, which does not foresee UNMIK's regular three-month reporting, thereby creating a new reality.

“I welcome and take positive note of the takeover of the Presidency of United Nations Security Council. Not scheduling reporting on Kosovo on August agenda is a success for Kosovo and its allies and partners. We have long wanted to change the quarterly reporting format. This is also a clear message for recognizing achievements and overall positive developments in Kosovo. The Security Council is gradually recognizing the new reality created in Kosovo and it is time for Kosovo to become a full and equal member of the United Nations, "said Kosovo's chief diplomat Pacolli.
