Minister Pacolli, part of the OIC ministerial conference in Istanbul, meets representatives of recognizing and non-recognizing states

Istanbul, 22 November 2017 - At the invitation of the Government of the Republic of Turkey, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Behgjet Pacolli, is participating and is representing the Republic of Kosovo at the 33rd session of COMCEC, the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation countries, which is developing its work in Istanbul of Turkey.

At the afternoon session, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Pacolli, will be addressing a speech at the ministerial session to the twenty-four ministers of economy and foreign affairs of member states of this organization, present at this meeting.

The participation of Foreign Minister Pacolli in this ministerial conference is conceived as an opportunity to strengthen relations with the countries of this organization that have already recognized our country and at the same time to lobby to those who have not taken this decision yet.

At the margins of this ministerial conference, Minister Pacolli met with several delegations and high-level representatives from the recognizing and non-recognizing states of the Republic of Kosovo.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation consists of 57 member states, of which 36 states have recognized the Republic of Kosovo as an independent and sovereign state.
